Aunt Andria's wedding

Aunt Andria asked Ali to be her flower girl.  It is Ali's first time being one and she just loved the whole experience.  We told her she is a little princess and that Aunt Andria is an empress....hahaha....

A:  Mmm...what exactly do I have to do as a flower girl?  Do I just have to dress up and look pretty...like a flower?

Family picture with grandma.

A:  Wow, they must really like me.  They even hire a quartet to play for me.

Ali walking down the isle with mommy.  (Too bad daddy was working hard to motivate Ali to move along.  This is the only picture we have Ali walking down the isle!!)

Sitting patiently with mommy (thank goodness I brought stickers with me!)

The beautiful newlyweds - Emperor Edmond and Empress Andria!!!

The gang - look how handsome the two boys are!!  And my little girl too, she is an adorable little princess!!!

So tired after the ceremony.  Ali fell asleep in the car pretty much right away.

Ali getting ready after her nap.  Gotta do a quick round of shopping first, right!?

A:  I am a Cinderella....mommy makes me clean the floor.  I guess I will just use whatever they put in a garbage can.

A:  Aunt Andria had someone set up a photo booth.   So cool!!!  I had so much fun taking pictures with my goh gohs!!
Congrats, Andria and Edmond!!!  We had so much fun at your wedding!!!  And thank you for getting such a lovely dress for Ali too!!  She loves being your flower girl!!  Thanks again for sharing your special day with us!!  :D

High School Reunion

One of my high school friends happened to be in Vancouver for a business trip.  Her little one is about the same age as Ali so we thought it would be fun to do a playdate while she is in town.

Here is our group picture:

Her adorable son, Aston.  I am so jealous of his big round eyes!!!

A picture of the mommies and the babies:

Aston: Hi Aunt Ida, you want a balloon too?

Ali:  Here is a pair of mittens for Aston.  You think he will like them?

Thanks for coming by and visit, Wendy!!!  Hopefully, we don't have to wait another 15 years before we meet up again!!  I will send you the pics soon!

Happy Father's Day

Being a terrible wife that I am, I didn't do much for Father's Day celebration this year.  Just too much stuff going on with home, work and life in general.  Anders' wonderful cousins, on the other day, did not forget his bew goh's big day.  They bought him yummy yummy cakes and a beautiful card and all I got my wonderful hubby are just a few fruit tarts.  Sorry love!
Ali on the other hand, gave his dada two beautiful presents (all because of daycare of course!).  He has a crown and a pen holder covered with stickers and random lines.  Good job Ali!!!  =)  Look how proud her dad is!
Happy Father's Day, Andy!!!  You are the world's most amazing dada and you know it!!!  :)

Gem in north Van

One of Anders' high school friends recommended a park in North Vancouver.  At first, my initial reaction is, "man!  that's so damn far!!"  But we totally fell in love with it when we got there.  The park is not very big, but it is gated and it has a nice lawn for kids to run around or families to have a picnic.  There are the usual stuff, like slides and swings and what not, but there are also lots of toys in the park that the children can play with.

Ali loves this ride:

Her new friend, Jasmine:

Trying out other new toys:

A:  "Hi, Jasmine"
J:  "Hi Ali, I like our hat!"

Ali playing with another one of her favourite toys:
Besides these toddler toys, there are also toys geared for the older kids, like scooter (with helmets!), bikes with training wheels, etc.  What a fun place to be on a nice sunny day!  I think this might be one of Ali's favorite hang out spots in the summer!!

Downtown on a sunny day

The sun finally comes out!!  It was so cold in May that I thought we are still in the winter months.  Thank goodness the temperature finally hits beyond the 15C mark.  What's better to do than to walk around downtown with the whole family?

And of course, we can't do without ice-cream in this kind of "hot" weather!

Ali in her rude sitting position.  Come on baby, be more of a lady!!!  And look at the way she pushes her sunglasses.

Ali's dada in a similar pose (pure coincidence!)

Hockey Night

The weather was gorgeous on the weekend.  Rather staying home to watch hockey, we ventured out to Metrotown to watch the game outdoor.

A picture of the three of us.  Ali was so into the game that she didn't pay attention to the camera.

Ali and the big screen TV.  It was a nice change watching the game outside.  The weather was SO NICE and watching with other people was a lot more fun for sure!

After 10 minutes....
A:  "Mommy, I am bored, can we go home now?"

Spanish rice

Our little girl is super impatient when it comes to food.  When she is hungry, she is so so whiny.  But after a meal, she is as happy as a clam.  I really haven't been taking many pictures or blogging too much lately, so when I remember, I tried to do it as often as I could.

Here is a picture of Ali enjoying her meal.

Super happy, when she has food.  She is so content that she is willing to pose her "cute face" for me.  =)

And a pouty look please!

I always forget to take a picture of my creations.  I had to really zoom in since there wasn't that much rice left.

"Mama, more mum mum please!!!"

We are all Canucks!

Who is not a Canucks fans these days??  Apparently, all the teachers in her daycare are crazy Canucks fans and on game days, they are allowed to wear any Canucks apparel.  In celebration of Vancouver Canucks entering the finals, Ali did a photo shoot with her Canucks shirt.

Canucks are gonna win the Stanley Cup!!  Yay!!!!!!  *dance, dance, dance*
